Yolla Kordahi
Registered Psychologist and Group Program Facilitator

Yolla Kordahi is a registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University, Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours from Southern Cross University, and a Master of Professional Psychology from Southern Cross University.

Yolla works with children, adolescents and adults in a range of presentations including, anxiety, school refusal, depression, ADHD, general stress, low self-esteem and adjustment difficulties (changes in job, schools, relationships). Yolla provides support in the management of emotions, stress, behaviour and social skills. She also provides parenting support.

Yolla provides evidence-based treatment and employs several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy. She utilises an integrative approach, to meet the complex needs of her clients.

Yolla is passionate about supporting her clients. She has a strong interest in providing empathetic support and empowering her clients. She has a particular focus on resilience and self-esteem building to overcome life’s challenges. She has an open, warm and supportive approach to building the therapeutic relationship. She works collaboratively with clients in a person-focused environment. Building trust, respect and connection.

Yolla has a particular interest in the mind-body connection. She has developed and implemented programs in areas of mental wellbeing and movement (dance and yoga). Her research on emotional intelligence, emotion regulation and movement has been peer-reviewed and published.

Group Therapy Programs

Yolla has her Certificate IV in training and assessment and has extensive experience in developing and implementing group programs. Yolla coordinates and facilities group programs including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for Teens and young adults, the Resourceful Adolescent, Creative Arts therapy and Women with ADHD.

Yolla is accredited in the Cool Kids Anxiety Program, developed by the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University. She works in both group and individual settings with the program and facilitates the program on Mondays at NorthPsych.

Yolla is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the APS. She is also a registered Medicare provider.

Yolla is available for face-to-face appointments at our Lindfield location on Mondays and Tuesdays.
