Our expert team of clinical and registered psychologists offer a variety of programs to schools aimed at improving students' mental health and academic success, as well as upskilling and supporting school staff.

Courses
Youth mental health first aid
This course is for teachers, sports coaches and youth workers working with adolescents. Learn how to assist an adolescent who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. This course also gives you the opportunity to become accredited with Mental Health First Aid Australia (three-year certification).
Coffee and Cases
Hosted by Lorraine Kleber-Cushing and Michael MacDonald, NorthPsych offer a no cost monthly supervision/consultancy for school leaders keen to seek guidance on best practice, school care, response and management of student issues that present in a school setting. We also share insights and best practice on tools to keep you nourished and energised in your leadership role.
Cool Kids Anxiety Program
The Cool Kids Anxiety program is a 10-week, evidence-based skills program that teaches children, adolescents, and their parents ways to manage anxiety. Designed for ages seven to 17.
The Resilient Adolescent Program
Around one in five teenagers will develop depression during the course of their teenage years. The Resilient Adolescent Program aims to increase the psychological resilience or resourcefulness of young people, drawing on research of successful treatments for adolescent depression and the known psychosocial risk and protective factors at the individual, family and school level.
Resilience for teachers and school leaders
The Promoting Adult Resilience (PAR) program is an evidence-based resilience building program that integrates Interpersonal and CBT perspectives developed by Professor Ian Shochet and the team at Queensland University of Technology’s School of Psychology. This program has been specifically adapted to support teachers, school leaders and school staff.
Creative arts therapy
This creative arts program aims to help students examine and process emotions, improve self awareness and reduce anxiety.
Group supervision for school counsellors
These free group supervision sessions for school counsellors provide an opportunity for case discussion with other highly skilled professionals, and an environment to network with other school counsellors and psychologists from the Sydney area. Some events feature short educational seminars, with content tailored to the complex work of a school counsellor. Afternoon tea is provided.
In-school workshops
Lorraine Cushing-Kléber, a clinical psychologist, offers workshops for teachers and counselors in elementary and secondary schools. Topics include communication skills for teachers, self-regulation skills for students, promoting resilience and coping, supporting students experiencing grief and trauma, trauma-informed classroom practice,
and wellbeing toolkits.
PEERS Social Skills Program
Leading evidence-based social skills intervention program for teenagers and young adults with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges to help improve social skills.
