Vanessa Shirriff is a qualified and accredited career practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience working with people of all ages, from adolescents through to adults.

Her practice philosophy is around “Ikigai”, a Japanese concept meaning “life purpose”. Vanessa is dedicated to ensuring individuals gain the career skills to utilise their strengths in making a positive contribution to the complex world of work.

A career is more than just a job. It is a lifelong journey through learning, work and experiences. When individuals have the skills to manage their careers, they gain the confidence to make wise decisions which support their values and wellbeing.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing, Finance), a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), and a Master of Education (Career Development).

She has professional memberships with Career Industry Council Australia and Career Adviser Association NSW, and is also an online learning adviser with Queensland University Technology in the Graduate Certificate in Career Development and Counselling.
