Matthew Brown

Provisional Psychologist

Matthew Brown is a registered Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology [Honours] and currently completing a Masters in Clinical Psychology.

With a diverse background in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions, Matthew has garnered expertise in a wide range of treatment modalities. His skill set encompasses psychometric assessments, neurodivergence evaluation, and diagnosis of specific learning disabilities. Matthew has experience in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and family systems therapy.

Matthew has demonstrated a keen ability to work effectively with clients across broad age groups, cultural backgrounds, and social demographics. This versatility has allowed him to gain valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by diverse populations and to tailor his therapeutic approach accordingly.

In his role, Matthew addresses a broad spectrum of presentations, including depression, anxiety, social and emotional dysfunction, adjustment to major life transitions, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). His work at the clinic underscores his commitment to improving the mental health and well-being of clients.

Matthew is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy that is client-centred with the aim of strengthening and empowering the client to take an active role in their treatment and growth. He believes in cultivating a safe and non-judgmental space for his clients, kindled in kindness and explored with empathy.

Matthew is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Matthew is available for face-to-face appointments at our Lindfield/Roseville locations on Thursdays and Fridays.
