Lisa is an experienced therapist whose expertise includes navigating complex family dynamics, trauma, gender-related issues, and chronic pain. Lisa is passionate about assisting individuals to understand themselves better to navigate significant life transitions, relationship difficulties, parenthood, grief & loss and mental health.
Originally from North America, Lisa holds a Master of Social Work degree, a Bachelor of Science degree in Child & Family Studies (Hons) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation in Boston.
Lisa has supported individuals and families in non-government agencies such as headspace as well as women and young adults who have overcome family and domestic violence. Her primary focus is on listening to her clients, nurturing their self-esteem, exploring creative passions and values, and fostering healthy relationships with themselves and others.
To address the unique needs of her clients, Lisa adopts an eclectic, person-centered and holistic approach in her practice. Her therapeutic model draws upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Parent Hope Project and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
Lisa is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves, empowering them to overcome obstacles, and facilitating their journey towards personal growth and well-being.
