Jeanne Fourie Hattingh
Registered psychologist
Jeanne Fourie is an AHPRA-registered psychologist and member of APS, who has been working in the mental health field for 20 years.
As well as a Master of Psychology (Developmental and Child Psychology), she holds a Master of Early Childhood Intervention, with a focus on collaboration with other medical and allied health disciplines to best support the emotional and social wellbeing of the developing child.
Jeanne’s experience includes working as a consulting psychologist at a teen psychiatric unit, an adult psychiatric unit, the neurology and children’s wards of a private hospital, a unit for juvenile delinquents and at primary and high schools. She has also done staff training for nursing staff on the emotional wellbeing of patients, as well as staff care for an oncology unit.
Her experience in neuropsychological assessment of patients with traumatic brain injuries and cognitive and educational assessments has sparked a special interest in assessment of ADHD, barriers to learning, giftedness, autism spectrum disorders and adaptive behaviour. She also provides supportive therapy for individuals and the families of people living with the above.
Jeanne Fourie has published academic and magazine articles on various topics pertaining to mental health. She holds a deep respect for her clients and aims to provide a service considering the individual needs and resources of each person.
