Sophie Parkes is a Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University and is currently completing her sixth and final year of the Master of Clinical Psychology program at Western Sydney University.
Sophie has experience working with a range of presentations including anxiety, study stress (procrastination, perfectionism), ADHD, depression, and school refusal. Sophie provides evidence-based treatment, working primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy (NT) models. Sophie also applies elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Sophie Parkes works both with adults and with children and their families. Sophie has a particular interest in building rapport with adolescents and fostering trust and collaboration in treating the presenting issue.
Sophie continues to develop her skills under the professional guidance and supportive clinical supervision at NorthPsych. Sophie is also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.

Please note that as Sophie is a Provisional Psychologist, she is not able to provide Medicare or Private Health fund rebates at this time. As she is not able to provide rebates, she charges a reduced fee.
