Lisa Wood is a Registered Psychologist who has been working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families for over 25 years. She is passionate about helping the individual to reach his or her potential and has a calm and reassuring manner which provides a supportive and empathic therapeutic environment.
Lisa has extensive experience in the assessment and management of ADHD, ASD, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, parenting counselling and transition issues. She strongly believes that the counselling process is a partnership between the client and the psychologist and uses a combination of therapies to help resolve issues based on the personal needs of the client whilst also working collaboratively with parents, families and schools as needed.
She utilities evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Strengths Based Counselling and Mindfulness. Lisa has worked extensively as a School Psychologist as well as in private practice and is registered with the Psych. Board of Australia and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
