NorthPsych and the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the government program that supports more than 500,000 Australians with access to services and support they need to live their life and achieve their goals. 

If you are self-managed or plan managed, NorthPsych may be able to offer you psychology, counselling, psychoeducation and dietetics services.

Unfortunately, we do not see clients under agency-managed NDIS funding at this time. If you are agency managed, please speak with your plan manager to discuss your support options.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the NDIS you must meet certain criteria:

  • You must be between the ages of nine and 65.

  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Special Category Visa holder.

  • You must be living in Australia

  • You are a person with a disability caused by a permanent impairment.

  • You require disability-specific support services to complete day-to-day activities

  • You require current support to lower your need for future assistance.

  • Your family needs to learn and build on their skills to support you better.

I already have an NDIS plan

At NorthPsych we see clients with self-managed and plan-managed funding.

Self-managed
On a self-managed NDIS plan, you are responsible for managing the allocation of funds. You can choose who provides services and they do not have to be registered with the NDIS. Self-managed NDIS clients at NorthPsych are billed under a private code and you make the payment directly. Once the payment is received, we will email you an invoice which you can then use to claim the NDIS funds.

Plan managed
Plan-managed NDIS clients have a plan manager who is responsible for the management of your funding and billing. They will keep track of your usage and also make payments directly to NorthPsych. Once we have received all NDIS information from you, we send future invoices directly to your plan manager.

Agency managed
Unfortunately, we do not see clients under agency-managed NDIS funding at this time.

Our professional team of registered psychologists, counsellors, dieticians, educators and early childhood specialists offer personalised counselling and therapeutic support to NDIS participants who have allocated funding.
